Help needed with Scammer!?
Question by J: Help needed with Scammer!?
To make a long story short, I just moved back home from Washington and am currently living with my grandparents. The other day she mentioned they were involved with a “debt consolidation” program and that immediately put up a HUGE red flag. I gathered all of her paper work and did some research on the company and sure enough, like almost every other company out there, they are just like every other rip-off artists out there. I know there may not be much hope of getting back the money they already gave out to them, but what other action can we take on this? I’m extremely livid at this point and just want to do something ASAP. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

There are two options I can suggest.1.If your state has an Office of Consumer Affairs you might try that agency. If not,try going through your states Attorney Generals office especially if this an election year. One case getting some press means many votes.
