Question by MIss.understood: Ok, so in 2004 I had a bankruptcy. I reaffirmed a debt. This means I agreed to pay still, right?
And that I still own the property attached to the debt right? I have made every payment on it since. But my credit report always shows it “included in bankruptcy” and now, 6 years later, Why?

Thats how the lender reported it.. 6 years later it doesn’t matter at all.

    If you reaffirmed, and are current on your payments, then the credit report is wrong. File a dispute with the credit reporting agency.

    If you have proof, you can dispute the item on your credit report. You can either write a letter to the creditor or the credit bureaus that are reporting. Most people have at least one or two errors on their credit reports.
